Manhattan School Of Music Students Perform In Brewster

BREWSTER, N.Y. – Studio Around the Corner, in collaboration with The Cultural Arts Coalition, announced  the Chamber Sinfonia from the Manhattan School of Music will perform in Brewster on Sunday, Nov. 22.

The players in the Chamber Sinfonia are rising stars in the music world. These students have won positions with the New York Philharmonic, the Los Angeles Philharmonic, the Baltimore, Milwaukee and Detroit Symphonies, The United States Air Force Band, Colorado, Des Moines and New World Symphonies, San Francisco Opera, and the New York City Ballet.

At the Sunday concert, they will play works by Vivaldi, Mendelssohn and Brahms.

The coalition also announced that admission is free for students; they urge people to reserve tickets, as seating is limited. Tickets are $15 for non-students.

The concert starts at 3 p.m. After the concert, the musicians will talk about the historical context of the work, their own musical journeys and share their experience on taking orchestral auditions and pursuing careers in music, and then answer audience questions.
